There are times when you don't want to answer your iPhone. If you are talking to someone else, maybe face to face, you would rather the caller leave a message on you voicemail than to interrupt your conversation. If your iPhone is unlocked, one option is to tap the 'Decline' button on the screen, but this involves more attention to the phone.

Instead, here are two excellent shortcuts you can perform when your iPhone is still in your pocket or purse:

• Press the power button (See Image - ) once to silence the ringer; the phone still rings on the caller's end and then goes to voicemail.
• Press the power button (See Image - ) twice to send the call directly to voicemail.
