Make a Call from Safari

If, whilst viewing a web page in Safari, you find a phone number you would like to call, text or save to a contact, you do not need to jump to the Phone application.

To call the number just briefly tap on the number, and the iPhone will pop up a message asking if you wish to 'Cancel' or 'Call' the number. If you select 'Call' it will dial it for you immediately.

If you hold down on the number for longer a pop-up menu will appear asking if you wish to call the number, text it or add the number to a new or existing contact.

This tip works for phone numbers containing text such as 1-800-MY-APPLE.

When viewing web pages using Safari it is normally easier to view pages by rotating the iPhone horizontally, the Safari window will switch to horizontal mode.
